The Marina and Surroundings – ACI Marina Dubrovnik
ACI Marina Dubrovnik is situated in a sheltered spot in the Ombla river delta, just a few kilometres from the historic old town of Dubrovnik. Thanks to its peaceful location and easy accessibility, it is an ideal starting and finishing point for sailing charters in southern Dalmatia.
The marina offers around 380 berths in the water as well as additional berths on land. All berths are equipped with electricity and water connections. Thanks to its sheltered location in the river estuary, the marina is particularly safe in all weathers.
A comprehensive range of facilities is available for sailors. These include modern sanitary facilities with showers and toilets, laundry facilities and Wi-Fi throughout the marina. A petrol station is located in the immediate vicinity, as is a well-stocked supermarket for provisioning. The facilities are complemented by a restaurant, a bar and other services such as a cash machine.
Getting there is straightforward: Dubrovnik International Airport is around 25 kilometres away. Transfers by taxi or shuttle are easy to arrange and usually take around 30 minutes. For guests arriving by car, parking is available at the marina.
The diverse sailing area around Dubrovnik is particularly appealing to sailors. Close by lie the Elaphiti Islands, including Koločep, Lopud and Šipan, which, with their crystal-clear waters, tranquil bays and idyllic anchorages, make ideal destinations for day trips or longer sailing trips. Further south, a detour to the island of Mljet is well worth it; it is renowned for its national park and unspoilt nature.
The coastline itself also offers numerous sheltered bays, small harbours and varied sailing conditions. The combination of short distances, good infrastructure and scenic beauty makes the area particularly attractive for charter sailors – both beginners and experienced crews alike.

In Germany, you can rent many boats without a license as long as the engine power does not exceed 15 HP. Regulations may differ in other countries: for example, in Italy, boats with up to 40 HP can often be operated without a license.

Once your booking request has been confirmed, you can conveniently pay the rental price online. Payment to the owner will be made on the first day of your rental period.
At the handover, you check that the boat matches the description in the ad. The provider will give you a briefing, and together you will sign the rental agreement.

The amount of the boat deposit is determined by the owner depending on the type of boat. The deposit is used to pay for damage to the boat, the insurance excess or any damage caused to the owner. The deposit can be managed directly by the owner.

Similar to a car rental, when chartering a boat you'll be asked to pay a security deposit (in many cases, it's possible to block the deposit on your credit card). This deposit is refundable if the boat is returned undamaged. Alternatively, many charter companies offer security deposit insurance, which reduces the deposit or eliminates it entirely.
